The farm BOSCODONNE is located in the area between Langhe and Monferrato, we cultivate the land, growing vegetables and vineyard, at Canelli, Calosso and Agliano Terme, on a total surface of about 5 hectares.
The production of the Moscato, Barbera and Grignolino vineyards is mainly for the Cantina Sociale (winery) "Barbera dei Sei Castelli" of Agliano T.,
while the production of the vegetable garden, fruit plants and herbs , is totally used for the processing.
Living in such a rich enogastronomic area, we have been spontaneously tempted to get back to the old recipes of the local country-tradition.
This tradition born and handed down from the customs of the past and deeply felt in our countryside was mainly concerned in not wasting anything the land was offering. Moreover (?) the tradition was to obtain delicious preserves out of what was greatly available season by season.
This concept lies under the "Cugna" (or Grapes Mustard) and the "Bun Aptit" (typical entrée in Piedmont made of different vegetables) as well as fruit jams, tomato sauce, vegetables in oil and so on.
The vegetable production is mainly biological, Ecocert Certified and marketed with the brand name Boscodonne while the remaining part (vineyard and a part of vegetables) are grown with the integrated fight method which is not very different. This production is marketed with the name (under the name of) Boscodonne.
Our laboratory is equipped with modern machineries for the preparation and packaging of preserves and fruit jams allowing a careful and high quality working of the raw materials throughout every transforming phase.
Our vegetables and fruit are harvested when they have rightly matured, giving us the opportunity to offer a product which maintains its pure and original taste and nutritional values.
Coming soon is our hazel grove production a far recent plantation enlarging our offer furtherly.
